SOUTH FORK — Games and competitions kept everyone entertained at the South Fork Logger Days celebration.
Experienced loggers joined in on competitions to win prizes, cash and a championship chainsaw. Crowds gathered at 12 noon each day to watch competitors wielding chainsaws and hand saws. Novice loggers were also able to compete in a mini axe throwing event for all ages.
Gordon Possien thrilled crowds again with his chainsaw demonstrations. Possien created wooden figures through the weekend. In the past Possien has create many bears, a mountain lion, mountain man and more.
Children’s games were provided as well as vendors, music, arts and crafts and prize drawings. Families were welcome to visit the competitions and vendors prepared food and drinks for the many who made it out for the day.
South Fork has hosted this event at for over 20 years and is a beautiful and fitting setting for the celebration.
