COLUMBUS, Neb. — Kay E. Pfeiffer, 51, of Columbus, died Thursday, May 31, at the Columbus Community Hospital.
She was born Oct. 13, 1960, in Omaha, Neb., to Richard and Faye Dover Stivers and grew up in Union, Neb., graduated high school in Nehawka, Neb. and continued her education at Southeast Community College in Milford, Neb.
Kay married Richard Peiffer on Dec. 15, 1979, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paul, Neb.
She moved to Columbine in 1981 and worked at Columbus Bank and Trust for 31 years as operations officer. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church.
Kay enjoyed her grandchildren, camping, four-wheeling and shopping with the girls.
Her brother, Michael Stivers; grandparents, Earl and Onilee Stivers, Ralph and Eva Dover; great-grandmother, Nellie Ninceheiser; and her father-in-law, Glen Pfeiffer, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Rick, of Columbus; daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Perrin, of Columbus; son, Matt (Brandice) Pheiffer, Grand Island, Neb.; sister, Michelle (Jim) Hanson, of Omaha; grandsons, Hayden and Logan Pfeiffer, Grand Island; granddaughters, Celine and Elyena Perrin, of Columbus; mother and stepfather, Faye and Doil Peckumn, Del Norte, Colo.; fathera and stepmother, Richard and Rhonda Stivers, of Auburn, Neb.; mother-in-law, Shirley Pfeiffer, of Talmade, Neb.; sisters, in-law, Betty (Rick) Kuehn, of Eddyville, Neb. and Lora (Kevin) Barrett of Nebraska City; and brother-in-law, Larry (Teresa) Pheiffer, of Cook, Neb.
The funeral mass was Monday, June 4, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. Burial was in the All Saints Cemetery at Columbus.
Memorials are suggested to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
