LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Christopher J. Lumsargis, 50, of Del Norte, died at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, surrounded by his wife and children.
He was born in Tucson, Ariz., to Mariann Kobida Lumsargis and Donald Joseph Lumsargis Sr.
A very loving husband, father, son and brother, he married Julia Margirita Rebeil on June 6, 1987 in Tucson.
Christopher was a school psychologist for San Luis Valley B.O.C.E.S. He enjoyed computers, the great outdoors, being a handyman, and especially the time he spent with his family.
His mother, Mariann Kobida Lumsargis, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Rebeil Lumsargis of Del Norte; three daughters, Mariann M., Elizabeth C. and Ana Elena Lumsargis all of Del Norte; two sons, Joseph C. Lumsargis of Sunderland, Mass. and Michael S. Lumsargis of Del Norte; his father Donald Joseph Lumsargis Sr. of West Fork, Alaska; two brothers Brady D. (Maria) Lumsargis of Daytona Beach, Fla. and Donald J. (Herminia) Lumsargis Jr. of Prairie Grove, Alaska, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Vigil service with the recitation the Rosary was held at the Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Del Norte on Tuesday July 24. A Memorial Mass will be held at 9 a.m. today, Wednesday, July 25, at the same church.
