SOUTH FORK — The free Thanksgiving Dinner, hosted by the South Fork Kiwanis, served 643 meals on the holiday, including a number of takeout meals.

The dinner was held at the South Fork Community Building from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and was, once again, a great success with many happy participants. This is the 11th year that the Kiwanis have hosted the entirely free dinner, bringing together the community and people from all around the Valley.

Kiwanis President Karen Miller said that she is very grateful for Walter and Jeannie Fulp for getting the dinner cooked and prepared as well as all of the volunteers who signed up to help. She said, “we couldn’t do this dinner without them.”

The Kiwanis also thanked the sponsors and donors who attended the dinner and gave them financial contributions.
